Come for the pysanky stay for the home improvements

So Friday evening I made pysanky with my friends Peat and Ben and a few miscellaneous people including the most adorable gay family ever; two dads and a teen aged boy and girl. After the class Peat asked what I was doing Friday and hearing that I had nothing planned asked if I could help him paint. His dining room went from green to a color scheme that resembles a lacquer bento box.

We're multicultural

So apparantly after the multicultural festival at my school a kid got hit in the head with a crow bar.

So all my kids are talking about the black kids going after the asian.

To which one of my kids said " It's open season on asians ; you know like Vietnam."

My job is fascinating.

My neices, kiera and macenzie.

Look instant Noro Hat

I really enjoy #8 needles if for no other reason then that it takes me two days to make a hat on them.

This is the Noro Kochoran 96 stitches around. The person it is intended for has voluminous hair so I made it a bit larger than usual.

Pirohi

I decided to replenish my supply of dumpling goodness and made about 5 dozen pirohi today.

I subsequently took a number of pictures as well.

It's about a two month supply if I don't share. But I almost always do.

A lovely letter

I sent Dan a letter that mentioned I was writing from the Wilde Roast here in Minneapolis and he responded with this rather lovely piece of art.

Complete with a quote on the back. It Reads:

"To Be good according to the vulgar standards of goodness, is obviously quite easy. It merely requires a certain amount of sordid terror, a certain lack of imaginative thought, and a certain low passion for middle class respectability."

~Oscar Wilde

I'll have to think of something creative to do with this instead of just filing it away with all my letters.
